In their journey through the desert, God promises to walk among His people, bringing them to the Promised Land and the eventual building of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem. In the painting warm earth tones suggest stone, rocks and desert. The suggestion of the kotel is superimposed on this barren landscape. Amorphous shapes which look like clouds give the painting a dream-like quality. On the bottom of the painting, abstract figures look toward the horizon and the vision of the future. This vision of the building and the rebuilding of the Temple, is the dream and true destiny of the Jewish people.
