This vision of a sparkling menorah was flowed down onto the canvas through layers of fluid paint dripped down like wine, and then highlighted with orange and gold and surface gold leaf. The lights, flickering like jewels, bring our gaze upward and then inward to turqoise blues, like heaven shining through.

The menorah is our richest symbol, and as good wine, it has uplifted and revived our spirits in times of deepest darkness. This Hanukkah may we drink in deeply the lights, like rich wine, bringing joy and gladness to our hearts.
